hydrocephalus 2009…

it’s that time of year again, time to update the hydrocephalus pictures!  i’m sure that all of my clients and those that follow my blog already know that i absolutely love doing this.  i am so grateful that they continue to ask me!  i’ve only selected a few of the pictures due to space considerations but to see all of them please go to my site and in the proofing section enter the password 2009 bw.  once again, i had a blast!  it was great to see the kids i already knew and catch up but i also got to meet some fabulous new kids!  the theme for this year’s gala is ‘unmasking hydrocephalus’ so some of the pics the kids have masks in their hands.  for more info please check out hydroresearch.org.

mr. m…

when i met mr. m two years ago he was wearing some cool orange crocs.  he didn’t disappoint this time and wore some stylin’ vans with skulls.  ahhhh, a man after my own heart!  what’s better than a guy with cool shoes?  i digress….  i had such a fabulous time photographing this family.  mom is ultra stylish and just a cool chick and dad clearly adores his son.  they also brought their dog “L” (aka ugly dog) but i don’t think she’s ugly at all!  she’s very cute really.  enjoy!

what’s so funny?

until next time!

hydrocephalus…

for the past couple of years i have had the absolute honor of photographing kids with hydrocephalus.  the first session i had with them was for the hydros for hydro campaign for seafair 2006.  i was happy to be asked to do it but had no idea how it was going to affect me.  i absolutely fell in love with the kids that day.  driving home my heart was overflowing with joy, just oozing everywhere, i couldn’t contain it.  it still does whenever i think about it or see the pics.  i see, feel and relive the session and all of their magical personalities.  i’m no longer happy to photograph them, i’m honored.  i love following their stories, seeing them grow, etc.  so here’s another session and some new kids to melt my heart.  and once again, they did.
