Seniors

My Style

My style of shooting is very casual. I want you to be comfortable and I like to be comfortable as well! (If the weather is nice I will most likely be in flip-flops!) I like to chat and get to know you and I talk a fair bit while behind the camera, too. If you’re comfy and relaxed your images will reflect that. There aren’t many times that you do photos just of you so take advantage of it and have fun. I don’t bite very often and neither does the camera.

My goal with seniors is to make them look and feel like they just stepped out of their very own fashion magazine. Their look, their personality, their best them. We will use funky locations, multiple clothing changes and hip posing to create images that will make them feel even more special than they already are. Add that to their senior year and you have a recipe for an amazing experience. They will be able to look back on these images for years to come and remember what an amazing time it was to be a senior and that feeling will shine through in the unique images created just for them.

Your Session

Your session can take place at your home, a park, etc. I have lots of locations already scouted out if you don’t have one already in mind. They range from conservative to ultra funky (and sometimes both), so it’s totally up to you. Sessions typically last between 1-2 hours and will have multiple clothing and location changes. Feel free to bring a parent along as they can be a great help with outfit changes, makeup touch-ups, assistants, etc.

What to Wear

Isn’t that the age old question? It should be easy, right? We’ve been doing it by oursleves since about the age of 2 but I bet every morning you ask yourself, “what should I wear?” I know I do and it’s usually followed up with “I have nothing to wear.” Which, let’s face it, we all know is not true.

So, when preparing for your senior pictures don’t worry about selecting that one perfect outfit, instead select several! I’ll even help you narrow it down, either on the day of your session or I’m always available for clothing consultations ahead of time.
So that you have a little bit of guidance ahead of time, here are some suggestions: keep it simple and keep it funky and everything in between! Simple jeans (holey jeans are great!) and a t-shirt or sundress are classic looks that never go out of style and work with almost any location. (Ok, so maybe holey jeans aren’t exactly a classic look but they give great texture to an image!) Kick it up a notch and add some accessories, ie. a cool belt, a scarf, etc. To take it to the next level, layer, mix textures, add a pattern, change shoes, take off shoes, etc. There are so many options and it’s so easy to do! (It just sounds difficult!)

After Your Session

After your session, it takes approximately 2 weeks for me to get your images processed and ready for you to view. Once they are ready, I will send you an email with a password so that you may log in through my website to view your images. You may share this password with friends and family as well. Galleries are active for 5 days. Please have your order to me prior to your gallery expiring. If you wish to have your gallery extended for an additional 5 days there is a $50 fee. All orders must be paid in full prior to being sent out for processing. Once your order has been placed and payment has been received, it takes approximately 2-3 weeks for your order to come back from the lab, specialty items may take longer. When your order is ready I will call or email you to setup a time for delivery.
